FESTIVAL VRACHON 2026

The visual identity for Festival Vrachon 2026 is built around a single gesture. A continuous brushstroke, inspired by the texture and strength of the surrounding rock formations, creates an eye—a symbol of observation, participation, and connection.

At the heart of the identity is the human presence: the audience, the artists, the local community, and the festival team. The eye becomes the project’s central visual language, representing a shared gaze towards culture and the collective experience of live performance.

A bespoke typeface was designed specifically for the festival, following the same expressive monoline aesthetic and reinforcing the character of the visual system. The colour palette is based on the four primary colours—red, blue, yellow, and green—which merge into a vibrant, fluid gradient. Just as the festival embraces music, theatre, dance, and multiple artistic disciplines, the gradient brings every colour together into a single evolving visual expression across print, motion, social media, and digital platforms.

For the first time, the festival’s identity extended beyond static graphic applications to become an interactive experience. The eye motif appeared across posters, banners, publications, and the festival catalogue, whose cover was designed to function as a wearable mask. Visitors, artists, producers, and members of the festival team could place it over their faces, photograph themselves, and share their own “festival gaze”—creating a collective visual statement in support of culture.

Rather than simply identifying the festival, the identity invites participation. One gaze becomes many, transforming the audience into active contributors and expressing the festival’s enduring belief that culture is sustained when a community chooses to look at it, engage with it, and stand behind it.
